Douglas Clinton Morrill, known as Doug, passed away on August 14, 2023, in Granville, VT, at the age of 61. Born on June 11, 1962, in New Orleans, LA, Doug was a vibrant and generous individual who lived life to the fullest.

From hiking Machu Picchu, to enjoying German beer in Salzburg, to boating in Nantucket, Doug had a passion for adventure and enjoyed various activities such as camping and hiking, gourmet cooking, boating, fishing and travel. He had a curious mind and loved engaging in debates about history and politics, always ready to draw you into a spirited discussion.

In his professional life, Doug was an accomplished entrepreneur and cybersecurity specialist. He contributed his expertise to numerous organizations, including Honeywell, Navigant, National Grid, Lockheed Martin and most recently the Vermont Electric Power Company.

Doug's academic achievements were many, with a PhD in Cyber Security from the University of the Cumberlands, a MA in Economics from the University of Connecticut, and a BA from Eastern Connecticut State University.

Doug's memory will be cherished by his family, including his son Justin Morrill, daughter Hannah Morrill, parents Dave and Elise Morrill, sisters Karen (Morrill) Coyne and Lisa Morrill Webb, their husbands Jim Coyne and Ian Webb, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces from the Morrill, Coyne, Webb and Vernet families.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 4th,  2023, in Granville, VT, with family and friends to honor Doug's life and the impact he had on all those around him.
